UFERE AWARDS
The Ufere Awards aims to champion the best in African Romance by acknowledging excellence in published romantic fiction whether novels, novellas or short stories.
A novel may be entered by the author. After the first round of judging by published romance authors, entries that meet the qualifications to become a finalist then advance to the final round.
Once RWOWA announces the Ufere finalists, a final round of judges evaluates and scores these novels to determine the Ufere Award winners. The Ufere Award winners are announced in February each year.

Author of the Year
This award is to honor Authors who consistently promote the African Romance genre by writing stories that readers love and supporting fellow African Romance authors. Authors automatically enter this contest when they submit a book for one of the paid categories.
Bookseller of the Year
This award is to honor Booksellers who go above and beyond in their support of the Romance genre, Romance authors, and Romance readers.
Publisher of the Year
This award is to honor Publishers who are dedicated to publishing in the African Romance genre and supporting African Romance authors.
